Tainan Classic Attrations Day Tour

Kaohsiung MRT Formosa Boulevard Station Exit 11

This museum boasts the most comprehensive collection of private museums and art galleries in Taiwan. Its main collection comprises 13,000 Western artworks, primarily exhibiting in four areas: art, musical instruments, weaponry, and natural history. The outdoor area, themed around Western mythology, incorporates Western aesthetics, introducing visitors to the gods of Greek and Roman mythology and their symbolic meanings. Features include the "Apollo Fountain Square," the "Olympus Bridge," and the "Narcissus Viewing Platform," making it a highly representative attraction.

After the Dutch occupied the area in the 17th century, they built Fort Zeelandia as a defensive fortress. Later, after Zheng Chenggong captured the Dutch city, the Taiwanese people called it the Royal City. After World War II, it was renamed "Anping Fort." Currently, the only authentic Dutch-era remains are the brick walls of the southern outer wall of the fort, bearing witness to nearly 400 years of Taijiang's history. The treehouse, located behind the Deji Trading Company, was originally a warehouse. After over a century, the walls are covered with aerial roots of banyan trees, and the towering, dense canopies of these trees resemble roofs, giving the Anping treehouse a rare and mysterious appearance, creating a unique symbiotic landscape, similar to the large trees entwined around Ta Prohm Temple in Angkor Wat.

The mangroves on both sides grow and converge towards the center, intertwining to form a dense, semi-circular green canopy. Layer upon layer, they create a deep corridor that stretches forward, seemingly without end, giving it a mysterious feel. This is why the Four Grass Green Tunnel is known as "Little Amazon." Board a tube raft leading to this fairyland, and drift gently with the ripples. A gentle breeze caresses your cheeks, carrying the warm weight of the sun as you travel through this hidden gem of the city.

The entire temple is modeled after the palace architecture of the Forbidden City in Beijing, and is renowned as the largest temple in the Far East. Two enormous divine generals, Shunfeng'er and Qianliyan, stand on either side of the plaza in front of the temple. Against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds, and the magnificent temple, they appear as awe-inspiring as if gods have descended to earth, leaving every visitor deeply impressed by the vastness of the temple's architecture.

The 3D cyanotype print, illuminated at night, displays dazzling white lines radiating across the blue wall. Combined with the old tree illuminated by yellow lights, it becomes a highlight of Tainan's nighttime scene. Facing the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store Tainan New World, the cyanotype print cultural and creative park has been a popular spot for young people since its opening. The creative and cultural shops inside each have their own unique features worth exploring, and the painted walls and art installations in the public areas are popular photo spots, attracting many people to linger there.
